BUCHANON TO ADDRESS ALL-CIF ATHLETES
Breitbard Hall of Famer to speak at Dec. 9 awards night at the San Diego Hall of Champions
SAN DIEGO—(Dec. 2, 2013)—The best of the best will be on hand to hear one of football’s all-time greatest players when Willie Buchanon is the guest speaker at the All-CIF Awards night Monday, Dec. 9 at the San Diego Hall of Champions.
Doors open at 5:15 p.m., the program begins at 6 and is free to the public.
Buchanon came to fame starting with his high school days at Oceanside High, went on to become an All-American and first round draft pick as a defensive back at San Diego State and played with the Green Bay Packers and San Diego Chargers in the NFL for a total of 10 years.
In 1994, the three-time Pro Bowl selection was inducted into the Breitbard Hall of Fame.
The All-CIF Awards night will honor all of the Fall sport All-CIF selections, first and second teams. Each of the selections will receive their Breitbard certificate during the first hour of the program.
In the second hour, KUSI will acknowledge all of the All-CIF first team selections.
