Helix High running back Nathan Stinson and linebacker Ezekiel Noa, who led the Scotties to the Open Division football championship, top the list of All-CIF Players of the Year in eight Fall sports.
It was Stinson’s 52-yard touchdown run that broke open a close game against St. Augustine to hand the Scotties the title at Southwestern College. Noa made sure the Saints would not rally.
Players of the Year in other sports included Torrey Pines’ Savvy Simo (volleyball), Francis Parker’s Brooke Seay (Golf), La Costa Canyon’s Joshua Litwiller (boys cross country), Rancho Bernardo’s Nia Akins (girls cross country), San Dieguito’s Jennifer Kerr (tennis), Cathedral Catholic’s Spencer Nelson (water polo) and Serra’s Megan Rodgers (field hockey).
Each Player of the Year plus all first and second team selections in the eight sports will be honored at the 2015 Fall All-CIF Awards Night Monday, Dec. 14, at the San Diego Hall of Champions. Athletes check in between 5:15-5:45 and the program starts at 6.
